There are a number of options to personalise how the Gateway Outlook add-in works for you. To see the settings, click on the Mailock tab in the menu options running along the top of your inbox.
With the Mailock ribbon showing, click on ‘Add-In Settings’:
Going through each setting:
1. Prompt me to send securely if my email contains sensitive keywords
Mailock automatically scans the title and body of your outgoing, unsecured (i.e. not encrypted) messages for keywords that suggest the email should be secured.
If it finds any, a pop-up box will appear, asking if you would like to send the email securely instead. If you would rather Mailock didn’t do this check, untick the box.
2. Prompt me to validate my recipient's email address before sending secure emails
With this option selected, you'll be asked to verify your recipients' email addresses when sending a secure message:
3. Prompt me for a security challenge when sending new emails
Displays the message security screen when sending a secure message, so you can choose which authentication method you'd like your recipients to use when opening your message. If this option is not selected, they will be asked to complete the email verification step before opening their message.
4. Enable the 'verify recipient using SMS' option
Adds the option to use an SMS code to the message security screen.
Note: this option is licensed separately so may not be active for your company. Check with your Mailock administrator to see if this option is available.
